LIVERPOOL BOSS JURGEN KLOPP HITS OUT AT 'COMPLETELY UNNECESSARY' GOALS CONCEDED AGAINST MANCHESTER CITY IN CARABAO CUP

"Liverpool and Manchester City met once again to continue their rivalry, this time in the last 16 of the Carabao Cup. Speaking after the game, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp said his side had to deal with last-minute formation changes, criticised his team\u0027s defending, and said that with VAR technology available it should have been used for the game."

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp said the three goals his side conceded against Manchester City in their 3:2 defeat were "completely unnecessary."
City were ahead after 10 minutes when Erling Haaland - perhaps the most famous player to have sat out the Qatar World Cup, due to Norway’s failure to qualify for the tournament - made the most of a month’s rest with the opening goal.

Liverpool’s young signing from Fulham, Fabio Carvalho, levelled after 20 minutes, and a frenetic 10 minute period in the second half settled the tie.
